For about 7 months now Mason and I have established our morning smoothie ritual, every cup consisting of fruit, a form of greens, and a protein source. It’s been a lot of fun for us because we’ve been able to experiment with different flavors in a relatively simple, low cost and minimal mess way. Today, after our time at the gym, Mason volunteered to create a new smoothie recipe and WOW. I may just have him make them every morning from now on!
He made our drinks with his usual favorite combo of frozen pineapple, blueberries, ice chips, protein, and Naranja XS Energy drink. We love adding any XS to our smoothies because it gives us an extra boost with B12 vitamins, no sugar, and adds a great texture with its carbonation.
The real game changer to this recipe was the XS Muscle Multiplier. This ingredient is a dragon fruit flavored, light powdered mixture of 3.6 grams of essential amino acids to help build muscle and enhance your recovery after a workout. IT’S SO STINKING GOOD! It’s dairy-lactose free, sugar free, gluten free, non GMO.
When blended, the Muscle Multiplier created a frothy effect throughout the smoothie making for a really smooth finish. Needless to say, Mason earned brownie points and may or may not have taken the title of “Smoothie King” in our household.

Muscle Multiplier Recipe
1 cup of ice chips
¼ frozen pineapple
½ cup blueberries
2 scoops of muscle multiplier
1 can XS Naranja Blast
2 scoops of all plant protein powder from Nutrilite
** add spinach for a greens boost!
Note: this recipe is pretty watery, it you like your smoothie to be thick add more fruit
Nutritional Note:
If you are consuming smoothies for a meal it should not only contain fruit (even though that sweetness can hit the spot!) Too much fruit in a smoothie = excess carbs and sugar. To create a meal replacement shake you should include a protein source, healthy fats, greens or an additional source of fiber, and fruit if that is your go to.
